I’m Anna and so happy you stopped by!

I am a pediatric night shift nurse from Metro Detroit and over halfway through my journey toward becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner. I started this blog to inspire future nurses and nurse practitioners, sharing my successes and failures along the way. A lot of people say that their job doesn’t define them, but for me it does. In every lifetime I would choose nursing. It isn’t just a career, it’s a part of who I am and who I want to be. As a minority female, I aspire to help fellow minorities thrive in the profession I care so much about.

I love to travel and (try to) maintain a social life by visiting new restaurants, bars, and clubs with my incredible friends. I have dealt with heartbreak, anxiety, therapy, disordered eating, plastic surgery, and rediscovering myself. I am here to share my story and be your friend alongside your own.

Since someone will ask, I am Guatemalan and Italian (I understand more Italian than Spanish, but trying to learn!) As a twenty-something, I also love a good Snapchat filter and am navigating my way through the dating scene. I enjoy Instagram, taking selfies, and meeting new people with similar interests. I invite you to step out of your comfort zone to learn about yourself and do the hard work so we can reach our goals together!
